One of our team members have been testing the new Helix Midnight Luxe mattress over the last few weeks. This is their feedback! Let us know if anyone out there tried this mattress, agrees or disagrees. We love to hear your thoughts!

"I recently switched to a Helix mattress and honestly the first night surprised me. It felt like sleeping on a cloud compared to my old mattress. Huge upgrade.

It’s a medium-firm hybrid. The pillow-top makes it feel really plush when you first lie down, but it still has good support underneath from the coil system. I’m a side sleeper and it’s been great for pressure relief on my shoulders and hips while still keeping my back supported.

One thing I noticed pretty quickly is how well it handles movement. If my partner shifts around, I don’t feel much of it. The edges are also solid so it doesn’t feel like you’re going to slide off when sitting or sleeping near the side.

It also seems to sleep pretty cool, probably because of the breathable materials and airflow through the coils.

Funny thing is most mattress ads show people jumping out of bed excited for the day. For me it’s the opposite now. Since I started sleeping on the Helix mattress, I actually look forward to getting into bed at night. I slide under the covers and sink into it and instantly feel relaxed. If I move during the night it adjusts with me, and I stay comfortable.

I’m finally sleeping through the night and waking up actually rested, which wasn’t happening before.

It’s definitely more of a premium mattress, but they do have a 100-night trial and a lifetime warranty which made me feel better about trying it."

Hi!

Thank you for the detailed review. I was wondering how “medium-firm” does it actually feel on a 1–10 scale?
Hi Kate, thanks for your question! On a typical 1–10 firmness scale (with 1 being very soft and 10 being very firm), “medium-firm” for this mattress lands at about a 6.5.

That means it has a balanced feel, slightly on the firmer side of medium, offering good support while still providing enough cushioning for comfort.

Hey! Does anyone know if this mattress is recommended for slightly heavier people?
Appreciate the help.
@Betsy58 Great question!
A medium-firm feel (around 6.5/10) can work well for slightly heavier sleepers, since that range is generally supportive while still offering some cushioning.

In practice, if you’re just a bit above average weight, this firmness level should feel comfortable and balanced. However, heavier individuals sometimes experience mattresses as softer than intended, so if you’re significantly heavier, you might prefer something a bit firmer (closer to 7–8/10) for extra support and durability.

It also depends on the mattress construction (materials, thickness, and overall support), not just the firmness rating.

is the mattress suitable for light weight people? am 65 kg
Hi there!

The Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress is designed as a medium-feel mattress that works especially well for side sleepers. It offers good pressure relief around the shoulders and hips, which is important for lighter individuals since firmer beds can sometimes feel too hard.

Although the brand does not specifically position it for lightweight sleepers, both user feedback and our own testing indicate that people with a lighter body weight can still experience excellent contouring and overall comfort.

So to answer your question: Yes, it should be a suitable option for someone around 65 kg, especially if you like a balanced feel, not too soft, not too firm.

If you prefer something very plush/soft, you might want to consider a softer model, but for most lightweight sleepers, this one works well.
