Female Hair Transplant: My Full Experience in Photos

I wanted to write this report to benefit others interested in hair transplant.

I was researching a lot before I did the operation and I know very well how much a person needs to see and read previous experiences as a reference.

Back to the details of my hair transplant…

It took me a long time to choose a trustworthy doctor with long experience.

Without exaggeration, I continued reading and researching for at least two years.

At first, I started reading previous experiences with different doctors, and after researching, I was completely convinced that Dr. Mehmet Guclu at Avrupa Hair Transplant Clinic is the best among all.

So, I relied on God and contacted them.

Ikhlas, the patient coordinator at the clinic replied to me (I sincerely thank her, she was very tactful and friendly).

She asked me for pictures and some general health questions.

I answered her and she explained the whole process to me, the number of follicles to be transplanted, and the cost of the operation
Words may not be enough to show my appreciation. She was very patient, and answered all the questions.

I was so worried, so I almost asked about everything.

Then I started the visa procedures to travel to Turkey. The first time I was rejected.

I contacted Ikhlas again to send me an invitation letter from the hospital stating that the reason for the travel was hair transplantation.

The second time, thank Goodness, I got the visa and I traveled to Istanbul on the 8th of September, 2021.

The driver was waiting for me at the airport and took me to the hotel.

The wonderful coordinator, Hasan, also contacted me. I must also thank him very much for his patience and cooperation (Hassan contacted me because Ikhlas was outside Turkey at the time I arrived and asked me if I had any problem if the translator is a male.
I didn’t mind and it was OK for me)
The operation was scheduled on the 9th of September, 2021.

Hasan came to pick me up from the hotel at 8 a.m.

I met Dr. Mehmet. I was very happy because my dream finally came true. I was also somewhat afraid of the operation, because I came alone to Turkey.

He talked to me about the process and reassured me that my condition is simple and there is no need to be afraid.

They brought me a snack and then we went to draw the hairline and partially shave my hair.

There were 3 nice nurses who mentioned their names to me but I forgot hahaha I remember one of them was Janan 🙈
The doctor started drawing the frontal hairline…Then the nurses shaved the hair, 😭😭 (photos are attached)…

The operation has begun…
At first, the donor area was numbed and the follicles were extracted. It lasted about 3 hours.

I slept and woke up during that time…There was a slight pain due to the anesthesia, but it was bearable.

Then they gave me a break during which I had breakfast (I can't tell you how beautiful the food was, especially lentils and baklava 🙊😅)

Then I went back again to open the channels and implant the follicles.

The coordinator Hasan was always there and asked me how I’m feeling (Many thanks to him).

The process of opening the channels and transplanting the follicles took approximately 4 hours.

The pain was bearable, but there was general exhaustion in my body and this is normal because the operation was long.

Dr. Mehmet used to come at every stage and ask me about my health, follow up on the nurses and reassure me that everything is fine.

Finally, the operation was done and I was given another meal for lunch.

Then Dr. Mehmet came and gave me the medical bag which contained (antibiotics, pain killers, a neck pillow, shampoo and moisturizer for washing the hair, and vitamin C) and asked me about my health and if there was pain, nausea or dizziness... I did not, thank Goodness.

They asked me not to lower my head, touch the hair follicles, cover my head, or make any effort (there is an instruction sheet after the operation that was given to me).

Then Hasan took me back to the hotel.
The second day, Hasan came again and took me to the hospital. The bandage was removed from the donor area and I was given a hat in case I wanted to go out for a walk or shop.

The third day, which is the day of washing, the donor and transplanted areas were washed in a very gentle way, and I was given instructions for washing the hair.

This was my hair transplant journey at Avrupa Hair Transplant Clinic. I thank Dr. Mehmet, the coordinator Hasan, Ikhlas and the nurses very much ♥️🥺

Can't describe how happy I am with the operation... ❤️

Today I completed three weeks of hair transplantation. The transplanted hair started to fall out and everything is fine, thank God.

Ikhlas is still in touch with me to check on my health. And if I have any question, she is always there, all the love to you ❤️❤️
