Does Rosemary Oil/Tonic Really Help in Hair Growth?

I have heard a lot of good feedback on rosemary oil or tonic to stimulate hair growth and reducing hair loss. I even came across a study that examined the effect of rosemary in treating androgenetic alopecia. The study compared the effects of rosemary oil with those of minoxidil 2%.

Did anyone try it?

I have tried it in the simplest and most affordable way (boiled rosemary; fresh or dry, with some water) and I can tell you that it does help in stimulating hair growth. I used the toner twice a day; once in the morning and before sleeping. I make sure to massage my scalp gently after application and I also do the reverse method (laying down on the bed and flipping your hair to increase blood flow). I haven’t been very consistent tbh, but I have seen some new hairs on the front area (mainly where I’m suffering from hair thinning).

Hey Lara, I have actually ordered the Mielle rosemary oil and I'll give it a try. I'll document my experience here once I start using it hoping it would be useful.

Yes, many people have reported positive results from using rosemary oil or tonic for hair growth and reducing hair loss. It's often mentioned as a natural alternative to chemical treatments.

However, individual experiences can vary. While some people have seen significant improvements, others may not have noticed a dramatic change. It's always recommended to consult with a dermatologist before starting any new hair treatment, especially if you have underlying medical conditions or severe hair loss.
